“ Always a great experience coming to Jayalakshmi. Feels like home and the taste always takes us back to India. Service: Jyothi was welcoming, quick and prompt at responding even when restaurant was busy. We ordered gobi Manchurian and requested for small cut pieces deeply roasted they noted and delivered it perfect. Food: Onion rava masala dosa was delicious crisp but soft in between as it should be. Gobi Manchurian is great (ask them to put roast and small pieces of Gobi and you will love it) ”
“ Jayalakshmi South Indian Cuisine was a wonderful dining experience and truly captured the authentic flavors of South India. We ordered a variety of dishes including dosa, parotta, ghee pongal, rose milk, and mango juice, and every single item was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The dosa was crisp on the outside and soft inside, served with delicious chutneys and sambar that tasted homemade. The ghee pongal was rich, comforting, and aromatic, with the perfect balance of ghee and spices. The parotta was soft, flaky, and paired beautifully with the curry. The rose milk and mango juice were refreshing and not overly sweet. I even brought my North Indian friend along, and he absolutely loved the dosa, which says a lot about the quality and authenticity of the food. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone who wants genuine South Indian cuisine with great taste and satisfying portions. ”
“ We visited Jayalaxmi South Indian Cuisine on a Tuesday morning after hearing some mixed opinions from friends about the food being hit or miss at times. Decided to give it a try ourselves, and to our surprise, it turned out to be an excellent experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and had that authentic South Indian touch that’s hard to find around here. The idlis were soft, light, and perfectly paired with the chutneys and sambar. The cheese masala dosa was another highlight — crispy on the outside, filled generously, and bursting with taste. Every item felt freshly prepared and served hot, which made the overall meal very satisfying Our server, Gokul, added to the good experience with his polite and attentive service. He ensured we were comfortable and even helped us with suggestions from the menu. Overall, Jayalaxmi turned out to be a great breakfast spot in downtown Kitchener. Definitely worth visiting for anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors. ”
“ First time visiting this restaurant and we loved it! The food was delicious, especially the Rava Onion Masala Dosa and Veg Uttapam. The service was excellent, and Jyoti was amazing—very friendly, courteous, and attentive. Thank you, Jyoti! ”
“ My sister and I stopped by Jayalakshmi for lunch, and wow what an absolute gem! From the moment our food arrived, we could tell everything was made fresh. We ordered dosas, and they were perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and packed with so much flavor. The chutneys and sambar tasted homemade and fresh, which made the whole experience even better. What really stood out was how quick the service was without sacrificing quality. The food came out fast, hot, and delicious perfect for a lunch outing. Every bite was so yummy and satisfying! I honestly wish they had more than three locations because they’re all a bit far from me, but it’s 100% worth the drive. We’ll definitely be back again (and probably craving it until then)! Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful South Indian food. ”
